To celebrate the first debate of the 2012 Presidential election, Killer Mike drops an atomic bomb.
The new video for “Reagan” gets an animation treatment and it’s pretty effective. I mean, you shouldn’t feel ashamed if you get upset watching it, or have to step away after the first few moments of it either. I know some critics say that the song is too late or not “relevant” because Reagan is dead. But if you don’t see how what went on during his term is still burning us to this day…yeah.
I know Mike originally wanted Chuck D, dead prez, Immortal Technique and other like-minded individuals like Boots Riley from The Coup on R.A.P. Music but I guess they decided to go in another direction.
That said, this “Reagan” video reminds me of The Coup’s “Ride The Fence” video that was on the Party Music album.
