There’s always going to be a market for a villain in rap music. Orlando’s Armstrong sounds like he’s out fill that void that’s been left since people stopped being afraid of 50 Cent. Dude is pretty straight to the point with his words and unapologetic about his past.
If you were to find a way to describe his sound, I guess you can say he’s a piece of every Florida rapper you’ve ever heard in one. If you take the vulgarity of early-90s JT Money and Poison Clan, add Trick Daddy’s brutal honesty, sprinkle in Plies’ “realness” top it off with Bloodraw’s “it is what it is” mentality and mix in a dose of “I just don’t give a fuck”…you get Armstrong.
He’s set to drop a movie/documentary about his life soon. I saw it for myself and his life is the stuff that early-90′s South Central LA movies are made of.
Check out his his new mixtape Kold World Kold Blood.
