I know it might be messed up to say this. But, for the last few years I’ve been comparing every song Mikkey Halsted comes out with to “Liquor Store.” I’m sure I’m not the only one either. I’m sure he hears it alot too. Is it unfair, probably. If anything I would hope and think it would make him want to make songs just as potent each time he comes out. But, we can’t expect for artist to keep making the same types of songs over and over again, no matter how dope the message is.
That said, “Obamanomics” is in same vein as “Liquor Store” as Mikkey gives us a walk through of Every Ghetto, U.S.A. from the 80′s up until now comparing the Reagan Era to the Obama Era. It appears on his new mixtape Castro which drops on Monday.
