This past Thursday I hosted a Idle Warship (Talib Kweli & Res) concert at The Loft in Atlanta and had a ball as usual. The crowd came ready to have a good time and gave everybody good energy, including the opening acts Rock Most and Sa-Roc.
After the show I sat down with the group to talk about how it is working together (they said its like marriage), who has better DJs Philly or New York, Linsanity and I got Kweli the conscious rapper, to admit to the last thing he stole…you won’t believe his answer…well, actually you will.
Oh, since everybody was asking about my outfit that night, I’ll up ya’ll up on game.
The Hillman College sweatshirt came courtesy of the homies over at The Hillman Bookstore. Check them out, they have other colors as well.
Be sure to cop Idle Warship’s new album Habits of the Heart pronto tonto.
We have more footage from the interview that we might drop later. Kweli is a funny dude.
And shout out to Ian Ford for holding down the night’s soundtrack and Muddy Water Group for putting on the show.
